The Bonobo Kama Sutra
A zine created in collaboration between myself (Daisy Jordan) and Ulysses Black. The blurb reads: "Here is the world's first mini-tractate on the sexual mores of the bonobo ape. Bonobos are renowned for their sexual freedom, and present a fascinating point of contrast to the testosterone heavy, patriarchal chimpanzee society with which we are more readily familiar. Presented here for the first time are a collection of collage illustrations detailing the sexual conduct observed within bonobo social interactions."
The bonobo is sometimes referred to as a "hippie chimpanzee" (though it is recognised as a species entirely of its own right); their society is matriarchal and generally peaceful, largely because they have replaced aggression with sex.
The zine is a humorous, playful look at the important role sex plays in bonobo society (with fascinating, true facts about bonobos), the creative positions they employ and a reflection on the boundary between ourselves and other animals.
With illustrations by Daisy Jordan
Design by Ulysses Black
Text by both, and inspired by the research of Professor Frans De Waal.
The zine is available to buy from my etsy shop.

Puppet and collages created for Snow White and The Seven Sisters
I made this little puppet, Sneezy, for the Bom-Bane's production, Snow White and the Seven Sisters, written and composed by Jane Bom-Bane and Eliza Skelton. Also featuring Martin Peters, Kate Daisy Grant, Becca Dyer and Daisy Jordan. I also created some collages used in the production. I designed the show poster in collaboration with Ulysses Black, the layout of which was inspired by the original Disney Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs poster.
Commissioned Shadow puppets for The Time Machine
I was commissioned to make shadow puppets/illustrations for an upcoming puppet theatre version of the Time Machine, by Rick Conte and Matt Rudkin. The show will be premiered in early 2018. Photos taken by Ulysses Black.

Puppet Making workshop at Brighton Museum
In 2016 I led a puppet making workshop for children at Brighton Museum inspired by the Bears exhibition that was shown there at the time. Here are some of the bear puppets (made from socks, gloves and paint) that were created by the young participants.
